Welcome to Schmersal

Safety in system: Protection for man and machine!

Under this motto, the Schmersal Group offers its customers the largest range of safety switching appliances and systems worldwide for the protection of human life and machines.

Innovations
With the CSS technology, the Schmersal Group has developed an innovative operating principle for non-contact safety sensors, which enables, amongst other things, the series-wiring of maximum 31 sensors through intelligent communication and diagnostic possibilities without detriment to the safety category. The advantages of this technology now are also available to hygiene-critical domains.  more

Electronics is not always the keyword in machine safety. Many mechanical engineers use a mere mechanical key transfer system, which offers enhanced flexibility and simplified operation due to the absence of wiring.  more

Safety light curtains and light grids for extreme applications.
The Schmersal Group extends its programme of optoelectronic safety guards through the acquisition of Safety Control GmbH and Safety Protec GmbH, located at Mühldorf/ Inn. These companies, which will trade under the name of Schmersal Safety Control GmbH from now on, will become the Centre of Competence for optoelectronic safety switchgear of the company group.  more
