Schmersal UK Supports Young Enterprise

This year once again sees Schmersal UK supporting Young Enterprise. The charity was founded in 1962 and has worked with around four million young British people, preparing them for the world of work. Young Enterprise programmes help increase both employability skills  and academic attainment among young people. During Young Enterprise projects young people develop key skills such as communication skills, teamwork, an understanding of how business works, confidence and initiative training.
As part of the Company Programme, students aged from 15 to 19 from the Kings School Worcester had the chance to find out how to run their own company, setting up an online tea shop called White Monkey. Schmersal UK supported the project by allowing the students to hold meetings in their offices in Malvern, Worcestershire, store materials in their warehouse and sponsor local awards and trophies.  And this support paid off: the team from White Monkey won the Herefordshire and Worcestershire finals for the Young Enterprise Company Programme awards, a UK-wide competition held once a year.
